One Day Can Change Everything

From The Author, Hal Donaldson.

As the president of Convoy of Hope — a faith-based humanitarian organization — we spend our days bringing help and hope to the impoverished, hungry and suffering throughout the world.

It’s very rewarding work to be sure, but there are days when it feels as if the world’s problems will never be solved; no matter what lengths we go to help those who are hurting.

A few years ago, the aforementioned realization made me very angry and left me feeling a sense of hopelessness I had never known.

This led to some serious introspection and times of prayer until I finally came to the conclusion that my anger was a good thing, but it was misdirected. Instead of allowing it to leave me feeling hopeless I chose to use my anger to be kind! I know, that might sound strange. But all of us have a choice to make. We can use our lives for good and to make the world a better place or we can choose to join the negative rhetoric while throwing our arms up and saying, "Everything is hopeless." When you read, Your Next 24 Hours: One Day of Kindness can Change Everything you'll see practical ways and benefits of being kind every day. It's easy to be kind, it doesn't have to cost a thing and it's impact is measurable. Take the 'random' of acts of kindness and make it a way of life every day. You and the world will be better for it.
